A software studio that builds like a team you wish you had.
For a decade we have shipped software for the industries that move things, make things, and serve people. Custom platforms for clients who needed software that fit them — and our own products for problems we thought were worth solving ourselves.
Started in 2015. Still shipping in 2026.
XServ Labs began in Hyderabad in 2015. The idea was simple: most Indian businesses needed software that fit how they actually operate — not software they had to bend their operations around. We built one custom platform. Then another. Then twenty more. Along the way we noticed problems no one else was solving cleanly, and started shipping our own products for those.
A decade in, we are still the same shape — a small senior team, working close to clients, with a strong opinion about what shippable software looks like. We have stayed deliberately mid-sized because that is where the best engineering happens. The cost of growing past 100 people is the loss of the engineering quality that made us worth hiring in the first place.
The things we will not compromise on.
Ship fast. Ship right.
Two-week sprints. Working software every Friday. We do not believe in six-month builds that demo at UAT. The cost of being slow is far higher than the cost of being careful while moving fast.
Senior people, not bodies
Most engagements we run have a senior-to-junior ratio of at least 1:1. Body-shop teams full of juniors burn 3x the hours and produce 1/3 the quality. We charge fairly and deliver what we charge for.
Honest scope, honest pricing
We scope before we quote. Discovery is paid. The fixed quote is real. Change requests get a quick re-scope conversation, not a fight. We have told clients to use Zoho when Zoho was the right answer.
You own everything we build
Full source code. Full infrastructure access. Full documentation. Standard contract assigns IP to you on payment. No vendor lock-in tricks. If you ever want to take it in-house, we will hand it over cleanly.
Operations over slides
The best software starts with watching the actual workflow. We send our team to your warehouse, factory, clinic, store. We map the spreadsheets, the WhatsApp chains, the workarounds. Specs come from observation, not from a feature checklist.
We use what we ship
Traxium runs our own internal logistics partner fleets. Praxate runs in our office. We feel the friction first. The features we ship are the ones we needed ourselves.
Two ways of building — same standard.
Custom software for clients
Half our work is bespoke engineering for clients who need software that fits their operations. ERPs for textile mills. AI vision for factories. Fleet platforms for transporters. SaaS for B2B startups. Mobile apps for field teams.
The shape is similar across all of it: discovery, scope, fixed-bid v1, two-week sprints with weekly demos, ship to production, support retainer. The result is consistent: software that goes live, stays live, and pays back what it cost.
Our own products
The other half is product. Traxium — AI fleet management for Indian trucking SMEs, live since 2022. Praxate — AI workforce intelligence on existing CCTV, in early access.
Building our own products keeps the engineering team sharp. We feel the operational pain of our own software before our clients do. Every product feature is informed by an actual customer call we just had.
Small. Senior. Close to the work.
We are a small team, deliberately. Engineering leads who write production code daily. Product designers who shadow real users. PMs who can read a database schema. Account ownership is direct — no layer of project coordinators between you and the people building your software.
Most of our team has been with us five years or more. The compounding effect of that — domain knowledge built over a decade across textile, pharma, logistics, retail — is the moat that off-shore body shops cannot match.
Hyderabad-based. Globally engaged.
Headquarters
Hyderabad, Telangana, India. The talent depth and timezone advantage of being in India's southern tech corridor is real — we hire from the same pool as the Indian arms of US Big Tech and global SaaS companies, at a fraction of the cost-to-client.
We are not remote-only and not office-only — most of the team is in the office a few days a week, with remote flexibility built in.
Global clients
Half our project pipeline is clients outside India — US, UK, UAE, Singapore. For these engagements we hold morning-overlap hours (5–9 hours of synchronous overlap with US west coast, full overlap with UK/EU/Middle East). Async-first workflows for the rest.
NDAs signed before first technical conversation. DPAs and custom security agreements standard. Source code repositories in your GitHub or ours, your call.
Questions we hear on every first call.
When was XServ Labs founded?
XServ Labs was founded in 2015 in Hyderabad, India. We have been shipping software for over a decade across logistics, manufacturing, retail, healthcare, fintech, and our own SaaS products.
Where is XServ Labs based?
We're headquartered in Hyderabad, India. We work with clients across India, the United States, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, and Singapore.
What does XServ Labs build?
We build custom software, AI and computer vision platforms, ERP and CRM systems, mobile apps, and cloud infrastructure. We also ship our own products: Traxium (AI fleet management) and Praxate (CCTV workforce intelligence).
What industries does XServ Labs serve?
Logistics, manufacturing, retail, healthcare, security, fintech, real estate, education, hospitality, and more. Over twenty industries shipped to in ten years.
How big is the team?
Deliberately small — senior engineers, product designers, DevOps, AI/ML specialists. We grow when the work demands it, not for vanity headcount.
What's your typical engagement model?
Two-week sprints with weekly demos. Fixed-bid for clearly scoped v1 builds, time-and-materials for evolving products. Discovery is paid (₹50K–₹1.5L typically). The fixed quote after discovery is real. You own all code on payment.
Do you offer ongoing support?
Yes — most clients stay on a fixed monthly support retainer after launch. Covers bug fixes, small features, on-call response, library updates. Larger feature work runs as separate sprints.
Want to talk to us about a project? We answer fast.
Most WhatsApp messages get a response within an hour during business hours. The first 30-minute call costs nothing — and we will tell you honestly whether we are the right fit.
